The Maier Story

Maïer, a derivative of Mair, is a Scottish slang term meaning more; that is exactly what you get with Maïer International, MORE!

Why is Gil Ramirez the founder and CEO of Maïer so infatuated with customer service:
Being the youngest of eight children, I had high expectations set for me. This was made progressively more difficult at every level in having to prove myself. I wanted to be a person my family knew could handle most situations with ease.

The second and primary place was in the work environment. As a salesman, selling a product or service showed me that it didn’t matter whether you had the best product or service you had to back it up with a level of service that exceeded the product or service being sold. When selling, I always found myself getting involved in either running the job myself or getting hands on with the product. I’ve always sold myself as the go-to guy, and if I couldn’t solve the customer’s problem I would find someone who could. I’d always learn from these colleagues so that I could have the answer in future situations. The companies I worked for would focus on the bottom line, sometimes not meeting the expectations of clients; I didn’t

“Gil is a pillar of integrity” Steve Wilmes ASCIP

Gil-working-bb-floorI studied business management at the college of Wisconsin. After graduating, I started work as a salesman in the beverage industry where I discovered that serving my clients to the best of my ability and exceeding their expectations earned me the respect of management and customers alike. After some time in that industry, I was a much sought after salesman and was headhunted into the restoration service company.

The management of the restoration companies I worked for could not see the benefit of this as they thought it took away from the profits. I, however, saw beyond this and realized in the long term this would lead to more satisfied clients and increased customer retention. With this in mind, I set off to start Maïer and with the help of a few partners who knew my work ethics; it was a success. Maïer has been operational for 7 years now and it is still as interested in customer satisfaction and equipping the end user, as it was when we first launched it.

Although being personally involved in nearly every restoration job, I am confident it is the team I have selected who get the job done today. Maïer is made up of a select group of industry professionals who are all invested as much as I am in the total customer satisfaction lifestyle. We stand ready to serve!
